The town of Jackson has a new town clerk. On Monday, Judge Melissa Owens conducted a swearing in ceremony for Lynsey Lenamond who moved into the position effective immediately. The Town Clerk performs duties as set forth in Jackson Municipal Code and Wyoming State Statutes.
The position provides professional coordination and management of Town of Jackson paper and electronic public records and agenda and meeting preparation and execution. Lenamond grew up in DeSoto, Texas before moving to Teton Valley where she has lived for the last 10 years.
Prior to working for the Town of Jackson she managed the Body Sage Spa at the Rusty Parrot Lodge. Lenamond was initially hired in June of 2020 as the Information Coordinator for the Jackson Police Department. Sandy Birdyshaw, the former Town Clerk, has taken over the position of Information Coordinator in the Jackson Police Department.
