Grand Teton National Park received several reports of smoke from the public Friday afternoon, located in the area of the Potholes off the Teton Park Road. Resources responded and immediately began full suppression the 2/10 acre fire.
An interagency engine crew and helicopter are supporting the management efforts. Being called the Moran Fire, the fire is located in a string of timber east of the highway.
Park officials say the fire was lightning caused.
Meanwhile, the Spread Creek Fire sparked by lighting on Wednesday has now been declared out, and the 4-acre Mosquito Fire has been 70% contained.
