Lightning has kindled a small wildfire Thursday afternoon in the Teton Wilderness on the Blackrock Ranger District of Bridger Teton National Forest. The fire was reported by a local outfitter horseback riding in the area who saw a small column of smoke and reported it.
The fire is currently still active and has burned less than one acre. Teton Interagency Fire officials have decided to take minimal action on the fire since it has a low spread potential and is located within the Teton Wilderness. This is the 8th wildfire in the valley so far this season.
