Peter Long has announced he is running for Teton County Commissioner. In his statement of candidacy, Long cites the difficult times we are currently living in. He says many in the community have been directly affected by the impacts COVID-19. Says Long, “We all know friends, neighbors and family members who have lost jobs or had hours reduced, and who are worried about how they will pay their rent or mortgage, put groceries on the table and pay for health care. As a small business owner, husband and father, I share many of these same concerns.” Long is among the rare residents who were born and raised in Jackson Hole. The Republican candidate has been given the support of former Jackson Mayor and current County Commissioner Mark Barron.
