Lower Valley Energy has announced a natural gas rate decrease, effective January 28th. In a continued effort to provide the lowest cost energy to its member owners, the Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors voted last week for a natural gas rate decrease of approximately 11.73 cents – that’s a more than 10% reduction. Spokesman Brian Tanabe says the decline Is based on lower than expected wholesale natural gas prices. Lower Valley Energy is a cooperative utility – owned by those they serve with any margins returned to its member owners.
