The Coronavirus restrictions currently in place are causing more economic hardship on some in the community than others. Lower Valley Energy has implemented a program in efforts to help those having trouble paying their energy bill. In a program called “Operation Round Up,” the cooperative will round-up patrons bills to the nearest dollar, and use 100% of the resulting donations to help their neighbors who find themselves in need of assistance at this time. The “Operation Round Up” fund is being administered by a third-party community board.
