The National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation have announced that Lower Valley Energy once again has the lowest residential rate among all electric cooperatives in the country. CFC is a member-owned nonprofit organization that finances rural utilities across the country. CFC tracks and analyzes the entire cooperative industry and produces a report listing key performance indicators for utilities. This year’s report which was published at the end of June indicated Lower Valley Energy had the lowest residential rates of all 813 cooperatives CFC tracks for the year 2018. Lower Valley Energy consistently ranks the lowest or near the lowest in its consumer rates. Lower Valley Energy also embraces technology and strives for efficiency and productivity, which also helps maintain low rates. Additionally, the report says LVE performed exceedingly well in the maintenance of the power system and returning patronage capital back to our consumer members.
