A Jackson Police officer assigned to the Jackson Hole Airport responded to the report of two intoxicated passengers on an aircraft causing a disturbance. While still responding, it was reported that one of the passengers was fighting with the pilot. The Police Officer arrived and removed the unruly men from the plane to the secure area of the airport. There, the officer made further attempts to de-escalate and wait for additional officers to assist with the situation. While doing so, one of the men became aggressive and the officer had to resort to force to maintain control of the situation. Deputies from the Teton County Sheriff’s Office arrived to assist and both men were taken into custody. One man, identified as being from 39-year-old Stamford, Connecticut, is being charged with public intoxication, interference with a police officer, interfering with airport personnel, and trespassing. The other man, a 50-year-old from Orange, Connecticut, is being charged with public intoxication. Further charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
