Wearing a mask on public transit is now up to you. The federal mask mandate requiring individuals travelling on all transportation networks, including on START buses, has been lifted.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that people continue to wear masks in indoor public transportation settings; however, masks are now optional on all START Buses effective immediately.
START Bus does ask that riders do not use the bus if they are sick, have COVID-19 symptoms, or have recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Eastern Idaho airports picking up the slack during the Jackson Hole Airport closure have also lifted their mask mandates.
