Mask requirement back in Grand Teton National Park

June 13, 2022 by Jackson Hole Radio

Due to increasing COVID-19 cases in Teton County, the United States Department of Interior policy says that masks are now required for everyone in all park buildings in Grand Teton National Park, regardless of vaccination status. Park buildings include, but are not limited to visitor centers, administrative offices, lodges, gift shops, and restaurants in the park.
Current Department of Interior policy requiring masks are based on the CDC’s identified COVID-19 community level. As conditions are subject to change, details and updates on park operations and masking requirements will be posted on the park’s website and social media channels.

An increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population over the previous 7 days caused officials to raise the risk level to “High”earlier this week.  Teton District Health Officer, Dr. Travis Riddell is encouraging the Jackson Hole community to wear a mask in public, indoor settings.
Teton County is currently one of the most vaccinated communities in the State of Wyoming.
The health department reminds residents to stay home when they are sick, and to test. Testing is the only way to ensure you do not have COVID-19. In partnership with the Wyoming Department of Health, Curative and the Teton County Health Department, all residents, workers and visitors in Teton County, Wyoming, can receive a no-cost, shallow nasal, COVID-19 test. Those wishing to obtain a test can go online to curative.com to see hours of operation, testing locations and book an appointment.
