Wyoming Public Media is reporting this week that the median family income In Teton County has surpassed $100,000. In a story released June third, the state public radio service based out of the University of Wyoming saidthe median income in Teton County rose more than three percent from the previous year, but the cost of living saw an increase more than three times that. Jackson/Teton County Housing Director April Norton told reporter Jeff Victor that disparity makes it more difficult for average families to live in Jackson. She added that even though people here are earning more than they did last year, that is not enough to keep up with the rising cost of living. The Wyoming Public Radio story is based on statistics from a report by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 2018.
