St. John’s Clinic at Teton Village announces it will be open during the winter season at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, November 24, 2018–April 7, 2019. The clinic, conveniently located at the Cody House near the Bridger Gondola at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, provides medical care to Jackson Hole locals as well as winter visitors. Walk-ins are welcome from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm, seven days a week.
In addition to winter sports injuries, the Clinic is available to assist with other medical needs. These ailments — common to travelers — include altitude sickness, dehydration, flu, and gastrointestinal illness.
One of the most valuable ways the clinic administers care for injuries and other trauma is with digital X-rays. Experts take digital X-ray images on site, and a St. John’s radiologist reads them in real time at the hospital. This allows the physician in the St. John’s emergency department to begin assessing the patient’s condition immediately, should the patient require hospital services.
The clinic is under the medical direction of Adam Johnson, MD, from the St. John’s Medical Center emergency department.
Patients are advised to check with their insurance company about coverage. The clinic will submit charges to insurance companies. Visits to the clinic will be billed as an office visit, not as an emergency room or urgent care visit, which may affect how an insurance company covers the visit.
