Missing Man Found Dead Near Livingston

Park County Sheriff’s Office and Montana Highway Patrol responded Tuesday to an accident scene in a ravine of a rural farm road north of Livingston, Montana. A single vehicle had crashed into the ravine and killed the driver.
The driver was identified by officials as Robert Lee Bishop, a 78 year-old that may have suffered from dementia. Bishop had been reported missing on June 17 after his family reported that he had called them and said we was lost. Family members said that Bishop did not have his medication with him at the time of the phone call. They said they thought he may have been attempting to return to his home in Washington.
The area resident who called 911 said their hired handyman came upon the vehicle while working.
The car had gone through a field on a dirt ranch road, through tall grass and a fence where the fence then went off a ledge approximately fifteen feet down, coming to rest on the passenger side of the vehicle.
The vehicle was located approximately 350 yards to the north of the dirt ranch road and irrigation ditch and could only be seen when officers got to the edge of the ravine.
