A mystery drama that was developing in Jackson Hole has turned a page at least as far as local law enforcement are concerned.
Back in January, 52-year-old romance novelist Faleena Marie Hopkins was arrested in Jackson Hole after attempting to drive a car on an over snow only route in Grand Teton National Park. Later, she led rangers on a high-speed chase through the National Park and was only subdued after spike strips were used to stop her car.
She was placed into the Teton County Jail and held for several days.
Upon her release on January 30th, Hopkins, who has sold more than a million books, disappeared prompting a public effort to find her.
On Friday, Jackson Wyoming Police Department officials announced that she had been located and was safe.
News reports indicated that law enforcement used cell phone data to track her to Hawaii.
Hopkins has a court date at the end of this month to answer for her charges in Wyoming which include speeding and attempting to elude police.
