Today is the day the nation observes Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. That means state, county and town offices will not be open for business. Most banks will also be closed for the holiday. Additionally, both the county recycle center and the trash transfer station will be closed for the day. All services resume Tuesday. Meanwhile, schools are in session on their normal schedules, after having had no classes on Friday.
