Properties managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks in Park County just north of Yellowstone have entered Stage-2 fire restrictions due to the high fire danger. This, just after Stage-2 restrictions were enacted by Park County itself. Stage-2 restrictions ban campfires and allow smoking only in vehicles and areas 3 feet in diameter that are cleared of flammable materials. Gas or propane stoves that can be turned on and off are still allowed. Driving motorized vehicles off designated roads and trails is prohibited. Of course, fireworks are always prohibited on federal and state lands.
