
Another new fire has been spotted on the Bridger-Teton National Forest; this one on Togwotee Pass. The Flagstaff Fire was discovered Wednesday at 1:00 pm by Forest Service personnel. The fire is currently 1 acre and is burning in grass and timber. The cause of the Flagstaff Fire remains under investigation. Resources responding to this fire include 2 Teton Interagency Fire engines, Helicopter 35HX, and members of the Blackrock Trail Crew. Crews are working to fully suppress this fire with bucket support from the helicopter. Forest officials say the fire started during red flag warning conditions.
A new fire has also been reported on the Wind River District 13 miles south of Dubois, Wyoming. The Bomber Lake Fire is approximately 40-50 acres and is located in the rugged terrain of the Bomber Creek drainage. The cause of this fire is also unknown.
