An impressive turnout saw nearly 93% of registered voters cast their ballots in Teton County. Voters elected Hailey Morton Levinson as Jackson Mayor and selected Jim Rooks and Jessica Sell Chambers to join the town council. Natalia Macker and Greg Epstein will return to the Teton County Commission. Jim Roscoe, Mike Yin, and Andy Schwartz returning to the Wyoming House. Dan Dockstader returns to the State Senate.
Amendment A to allow the state legislature to have more latitude in determining the funding level to be allowed for community wastewater treatment facility improvements won handily. However, the proposed additional general revenue penny sales tax did not win the approval of the electorate.
On the state level, both Liz Cheney and Cynthia Lummis will be returned to Washington – that, despite Teton County voters decisively voting otherwise. Cheney is being re-elected as Wyoming’s lone US Representative, and former US Representative Lummis was chosen to succeed retiring US Senator Mike Enzi. In earning that seat, Lummis becomes Wyoming’s first ever female US Senator.
