Teton County Search and Rescue was called to the scene of a mountain bike accident on the Parallel trail on Teton Pass Saturday afternoon. According to a news release from Search and Rescue, a mountain biker crashed while descending the trail. The accident left him with a severely injured ankle, rendering him unable to either walk or ride.
Search and Rescue got the call at 2:44 pm and responded with the RZR and a forward ops truck. Meanwhile, volunteers accessed the trail via the Old Pass Road. The volunteers assessed the patient, immobilized his injury and loaded the patient into the wheeled litter to be transported about a half mile down the trail to a waiting ambulance. The mission was completed about in two hours.
