The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking any information regarding a nanny mountain goat that was found dead along US Highway 89 in the Snake River Canyon near Alpine. It is believed the mountain goat may have been hit by a vehicle and subsequently shot sometime during Thursday night. The female mountain goat was discovered and reported to Wyoming Game and Fish officials Friday morning. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Wyoming Game and Fish office or “Stop Poaching” hotline at 877-WGFD TIP.
