Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has partnered with a Swiss-based company to supply its ski patrol in the interest of avalanche safety. Mammut brings 156 years of outdoors and mountain safety experience to the partnership, boasting the most advanced avalanche beacon, the Barryvox S, on the market, as well as world-class avalanche backpacks, shovels and probes, along with being able to claim title of the inventor of the climbing rope. Through the partnership, Ski Patrol and Mountain Guides at Jackson Hole will be using the Mammut Barryvox Sbeacon, Fastlock 280Probe, Alugator FastlockShovel and the Pro Removable Airbag 3.0 in everyday patrolling and rescue situations. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Business Development Director Bill Lewkowitz says this partnership is an exciting one since Mammot produces some of the best technical equipment, clothing and gear in snow sports. Mammut Director of Brand Operations Megan McGough says the excitement is mutual since Mammot perceives Jackson Hole Ski Patrol as best in class.
