It appears Hollywood may be coming again to Jackson. In a letter to the town council, a film producer introduced a feature film he intends to begin shooting in Jackson Hole this summer and fall with alternative locations in the Weminuche Wilderness in southwestern Colorado and select locations in Munich and south to Mittenwald in the Bavarian Alps. Entitled “Eagle.” The production is intended to be a family film about an old Indian and a young runaway German boy in the Rocky Mountain wilderness with a coming of age plot line. Locations for the shoot are expected to include the town square, Togwotee Pass, the Lunch Counter area of the Snake River, DuNoir Valley, and areas near Dubois. The cast is made up of several prominent actors from both the US and Germany. The producers plan to be back in the area about two months from now to make further arrangements for the film.
