Special Olympics Wyoming has a new president. The Board of Directors of Special Olympics Wyoming announced Tuesday that Jennifer Haines, has been named the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective this September. Priscilla Dowse is retiring after serving the movement for more than 44 years, and the last 17 years at the helm of Special Olympics Wyoming. She has been a familiar figure around Jackson for the past 41 winters as Jackson has hosted the Special Olympics state winter games. As President/CEO, Haines’ primary responsibilities include strategic leadership, operational management, fundraising and moving forward the Special Olympics Wyoming mission and objectives consistent with the policies, practices and procedures set forth by Special Olympics, Inc. and the Special Olympics Wyoming Board of Directors.
