The Fund for Public Education has announced a new program called the Jim and Becky Rooks After School Activities Fund and it’s designed to give Teton County School students more access to extracurricular activities.
The program helps students cover equipment purchases, travel, and registration fees for arts, sports, or educational activities.
Michelle, Mikel, Rob, and Jim Rooks were inspired by the positive impact of afterschool activities and created the program to honor the legacy of their parents, Jim and Becky Rooks.
They hope students will be encouraged to try a new sport or activity.
The Fund for Public Education’s Executive Director, Jennifer Jellen, believes that the program will have an immediate and positive impact for students in the community.
