Wyoming’s Congresswoman and House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney applauded a decision by the Department of Transportation to revise its Air Carrier Access Act regulation on the transportation of service animals by air. The rule comes following legislation that Representative Cheney sponsored
that would make it easier for disabled veterans to travel on commercial airlines with their service dogs. Cheney explains that veterans found it difficult to acquire the paperwork necessary to travel with their service dogs. Cheney credited Vince Vanata, a Marine veteran from Cody, for championing the issue and for working alongside her to win passage of the measure.
