New Year’s Eve Festivities at the King

December 30, 2019 by Jackson Hole Radio

King Tubes Opens

Snow King Mountain will play host to a festive New Year’s Eve Celebration with a Torchlight Parade, Glow Worm Parade for Kids, Fireworks, and a Snow Castle Party.
From 4 pm – 6 pm there will be the Snow Castle Party on the new snow sculpture adjacent to the Snow King Hotel. Free Hot Chocolate and cookies will be available and kids can climb, slide, and explore this amazing snow palace prior to the evening’s festivities.
Kids and families who would like to participate in the Glow Worm Parade should meet at the Rafferty Center at 5:30 for registration. All glow worm skiers must be 6 years or older and be able to ski from the Rafferty mid-station to the base of the Cougar lift with intermediate to advanced skiing ability. Parents are welcome to join.
The glow worm parade will finish at the base of Cougar just prior to the Torchlight Parade. Expert skiers aged 15 and up can join one of the longest running citizens’ torchlight parades in the country at Snow King Mountain on New Year’s Eve 2019 and finish out this decade right. Torchlight participants should meet at the Lodge Room for registration at 6 pm for a 7 pm load time on the Cougar lift.
Fireworks will commence following the Torchlight Parade at approximately 8 pm.
