Cultivate Ability, a local non-profit group, has launched a new program designed to guide employers through the process of taking meaningful strides toward disability inclusion and awareness in the workplace.
Participants in “Next Steps” will learn to identify areas for improvement and implement customized solutions for better inclusion. The goal of this program is to engage employers through a systemic change while cultivating the awareness they need to continue independently.
“Next Steps” is a multi-step program consisting of consultations, pre- and post-assessments, the creation of a customized checklist, and periodic check-ins. Those check-ins will be scheduled throughout the year to keep participants accountable for making progress on the checklist and to help with implementation.
The cost of the program is $2,000 for each participating employer. The development of “Next Steps” was made possible thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.
