Jackson Hole Airport experienced a very busy January according to the monthly report to the airport board. According to the count of passengers in and out of the airport, January saw a 16% increase in the number of people arriving on the five air carriers, with 35,304 people flying into the valley this year as opposed to 30,418 during January 2018. Those catching flights out of the valley numbered 10% more during the same period with 40,335 outbound passengers last month compared with 36,585 during the previous January. During the first month of this year, Jackson Hole Airport was served by 445 commercial flights compared with 416 last January, accounting for a 7% increase in air service. This year’s increases come on the heels of last year’s increases during the same period with 15% more arrivals and 6% more departures over January of 2017. Jackson Hole Airport is served by American, Delta, Skywest, United and United Express with direct flights to 12 destinations across the country.
