October 16, 2018 by Jackson Hole Radio

With snow blanketing the upper reaches of the Tetons, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is looking forward to its 53rd winter season.  Slated to open on Thanksgiving Day, November 22nd, for holiday sightseeing rides on the Aerial Tram, and for skiing on Saturday, November 24th, JHMR welcomes guests with noteworthy additions to the mountain for 2018-2019 and significant enhancements upgrading the skier guest and family experience.

Years in the making, Solitude Station is the latest offering in Jackson Hole’s continued devotion to skier progression and the family experience. Entirely dedicated to kids and adults learning and growing at JHMR, this vast complex is accessed via a quick two-minute gondola ride from the base area.   Solitude Station’s expansive lodge at the Sweetwater Gondola mid-station, thoughtfully designed with 12,000 square feet of dining, rental, and official Mountain Sports School home base, is a premiere amenity for guests looking to improve their skiing and riding.  Geared for kids ages 7 and up, as well as families and adult group lessons, Solitude Station is designed to maximize learning and development in an empowering and constructive atmosphere.  The all-in-one service for every need under one roof is a state-of-the-art concept unique to Jackson Hole, and designed to complement the Resort’s unmatched terrain and mountain environment.
