The Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation Advisory Board is accepting applications for Community Capital Improvement Projects until September 20, 2018.
The Parks & Recreation Department has identified four immediate priorities in the new Strategic Plan: expand the Recreation Center, athletic fields master planning (more efficient use of all athletic fields and exploration of alternative venues), develop an off-leash dog park in Town, and accessibility planning for all park amenities and facilities.
Applications will be reviewed by the Advisory Board at the October 11, 2018, meeting, and those that are chosen to move forward will be scheduled for applicant presentations at the November 2018 Board meeting.
In order for applications to move forward to the presentation stage, they should be able to answer the following questions:
- Does the project align with the Parks & Recreation mission?
- Does the project align with the Parks & Recreation Strategic Plan?
- How were the costs for the project calculated?
The application form, as well as the Strategic Plan, can both be accessed here: http://tetonparksandrec.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=406
