The Wyoming Department of Transportation has scheduled a closure of Teton Pass for at noon today for avalanche control. However, reduced visibility, winter driving conditions, and increasing avalanche hazard may force an earlier closure.
No parking will be allowed along Highway 22 between the State Line closure gate and the Wilson closure gate, and parking violations will be strictly enforced.
Then at 6:00 pm, US 191/189 through the Hoback Canyon will be closed for avalanche hazard mitigation there.
Like Highway 22, it may be closed earlier due to changing weather and avalanche conditions. Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly for the avalanche control activity.
