Wyoming Highway Patrol aided by the Idaho State Police apprehended a 34-year-old Powell, Wyoming man who led them in a chase on US Highway 26 yesterday. At about 5:00 pm, Andrew Thomason fled from the Wyoming Highway Patrol into Idaho. The Wyoming Highway Patrol discontinued the pursuit at the Idaho border. Thomason continued westbound and crashed his 1997 Plymouth four door near the Palisades Dam. Thomason fled the crash on foot. Idaho State Police and the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene of the crash, searched the area, and located Thomason, charging him with battery on an officer, driving while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of a crash. Charges are pending by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
