A Teton County resident has reported receiving a scam phone call purported to be from a Teton County Office. The caller was trying to get information from the citizen regarding their “health care”. The caller ID showed a phone number and it did say “Teton County Gov’t”. Be aware that scammers can “spoof” ANY phone number and make it appear as though the call is coming from a legitimate source. Use extreme caution giving out any personal information to anyone in such a phone call. Best practice is to get the caller’s name and office they are working for, then call back on the publicly listed phone number.
