A new non-motorized pathway planned for Teton Pass is to see the start of construction this spring. According to the Caribou National Forest Facebook page, a contractor has been hired by the Federal Highway Administration to begin building a section of the Centennial Trail starting in the Moose Creek area southeast of Victor and ending at the Trail Creek Campground. Work is expected to begin in May, weather permitting. The pathway will include two underpasses crossing under Idaho Highway 33/Wyoming Highway 22 – one will be for a spur pathway to connect to the Mike Harris campground and its miles of multi-use trails, while the other will be for the main north side trail to safely pass under the highway to the Trail Creek Campground on the southside. From there, the section of the pathway from Trail Creek Campground to Coal Creek will be built in 2025 after the design phase is completed. The final phase is a six mile stretch from Coal Creek to the top of Teton Pass.
