Problem grizzly relocated

A problem grizzly bear was captured north of Pinedale last week and relocated to an area about 5 miles from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Wyoming Game and Fish officials say the adult male had killed cattle on a US Forest Service grazing allotment north of Pinedale, on the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
Officials with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the Forest Service decided the bear should be relocated since it did not pose an immediate threat to human safety.
Bears deemed such a threat are not released back into the wild. Once the bear was captured last Wednesday, it was transported to the Five Mile Drainage within the Shoshone National Forest.
Game and Fish explained in a news release that this site on the Shoshone National Forest was chosen due to the lack of human presence.
