Even the traditional PTO pumpkin sale this Saturday in Jackson will look different this year due to the COVID pandemic. According to spokesperson Sarah Benson, the sale will be moved from the town square to a drive-through setting at Jackson Elementary School. Benson adds that the traditional face painting and other activities designed to enhance the pumpkin-buying affair have been dropped this year. The pre-sale begins at 9:00 am and the open sale runs from 11:00 am until noon. Pumpkins can be preordered and paid for online at sites.google.com/view/jes-pto/get-involved. This marks the 43rd year the PTO has hosted a pumpkin sale prior to Halloween as a fundraiser for school programs.
