The Community Foundation of Teton Valley recently hosted the 17th Annual Tin Cup Challenge Awards Ceremony, bringing together nonprofit leaders, donors, and volunteers to celebrate the results of this year’s fundraising efforts. The event marked another record-breaking year, with a total of $3,372,937 raised, reflecting a 19% increase over last year’s total.
The funds raised include $1,194,147 contributed to the Challenger Fund by Business & Community Challengers and Friends, an 8% increase from last year. Additionally, participating nonprofits raised $2,178,790 in designated gifts, marking a 26% increase. This year, 1,355 donors participated in the Tin Cup Challenge, meaning one in four households in Teton Valley contributed to the fundraiser.
Executive Director Bonnie Self expressed her gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success, stating, “These impressive results demonstrate the value and importance of local nonprofits. I am humbled to be part of this effort. Thank you for walking alongside the Community Foundation to help Teton Valley become an even better place to live, work, and play.”
The celebration continued with nonprofit representatives receiving their grant checks, including a 56% Match Grant for the first $25,000 each nonprofit raised during the Giving Period. The success of the Tin Cup Challenge highlights the vital role that nonprofits and donors play in maintaining the health and well-being of the Teton Valley community, which has raised nearly $27 million over the past 17 years.
