Teton County Search and Rescue responded to a woman who was injured when she fell off a horse in the South Fall Creek Road area Monday evening. According to a report from the search and rescue team, the woman’s companion had to ride out to the road and flag down a passerby, who was then able to contact her family who in turn called for help. Volunteers from Teton County Search and Rescue responded with the team’s RZR side-by-side and a wheeled litter. They secured the woman in the litter and wheeled her about two miles to a waiting ambulance which transported her to St John’s Health for treatment. This marks the seventh incident involving a person falling from a horse to which the search and rescue team has responded this summer.
