
The Teton District Health Officer, Travis Riddell, MD has signed off on a continuation of the “Gather in Household Groups Only” recommendation. The recommendation is in effect through February 14. Riddell recommends community members gather only with t people who live together at the same residence.
Riddell says people should continue to go to work and to school, but should not gather outside of household groups that occur outside of work or school.
COVID-19 case numbers remain high in Teton County, WY. In the past two weeks there have been over 470 new cases. The number of patients with COVID-19 in the hospital remains elevated and over 9% of tests taken in the past two weeks were positive. These metrics keep Teton County in the critical Purple Risk Level at this time.
Recommendations from the Teton District Health Officer are issued solely as guidance to best protect the community. Dr. Riddell and the Teton County Health Department are asking for everyone’s participation in improving our COVID-19 situation in Teton County by following this recommendation.
