The Jackson Hole High School RoboBroncs team was selected this year as one of the Chairman’s Award winners for the region, the top prize in F.I.R.S.T. (or “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”) Robotics. Team-member Stella Vickland-Davis was named the Dean’s List Award Finalist and continues to work with the team the team to compete for the awards virtually at F.I.R.S.T. Championships this June.
The younger students in F.I.R.S.T. Tech Challenge also brought home 2 first place trophies, as well as multiple 2nd and 3rd places. The 6th Graders had 2 teams compete in Wyoming state Championships, along with every third grader in the district is completing F.I.R.S.T. Lego League projects in their classes. Altogether, over 250 students in the Teton County School District are participating this year.
