Jackson Hole High School’s Robotics Club traveled to Texas for the FIRST Championship competition with high hopes, but unfortunately didn’t get selected to play in the finals.
FIRST Championship brings together more than 70,000 people from around the world – plus 1,300 robots – to venues in Houston, Texas and Detroit, Michigan to participate in a K-12 robotics program.
Along with the students, the event involved educators, industry professionals, sponsors, organizations, and colleges/universities who support them.
Coach Gary Duquette says the robot the Jackson team took was just a little too inconsistent. Still, Duquette says the students had a great time and immediately began working on how to improve their team’s entry for next season.
Duquette says the team will review every part of the season’s activities and work to make it a more successful year for the Jackson Hole RoboBroncs next year.
