Wonder Institute, a project of the Center of Wonder, JacksonWild and Center for the Arts, will host a free stream of the TED 2020 Conference: “Uncharted” on Thursday, moderated by long-time educator Jim Rooks. The evening will consist of eight recorded speakers with pre-screening introductions from Rooks and a musical performance by Aspen Dawn. Over a series of eight weeks, TED2020 “Uncharted” speakers across the globe addressed a different theme of the week, exploring systemic issues, future solutions and outlets for creativity. Presenters range from long-time actor Ethan Hawke to 20-year-old activist and poet laureate Amanda Gorman. Each program will begin at 6:00 pm.
