For the better part of this year, the runaway truck catch net system on Teton Pass has been replaced with sand barrels until the engineering of the advanced catch net system could be adjusted. Now, the contract has been let to reinstall the upgraded system. Bruce Daigle of the District 3 WYDOT shop in Jackson says that work will take place at the conclusion of the work on the Highway 22 bridge over the Snake River. Daigle says he anticipates the catch net system will be in place by the end of November.
