SAR retrieves man from Mosquito Creek

For a second time in a week, a person with a leg injury has been evacuated from the back country by Teton County Search and Rescue. According to a report posted on Facebook, Teton County Search and Rescue received an alert about 5:00 pm Tuesday about a man who had crashed on his motorcycle roughly four miles up the Mosquito Creek drainage.
The patient had reportedly suffered lower leg injuries and was unable to walk or ride out of the backcountry. Search and Rescue volunteers responded in their RZR and were able to access the patient directly.
After assessing the patient’s multiple injuries, they packaged him for transport in the RZR and then drove the patient out of the backcountry. He was transferred to a waiting ambulance which took him to the hospital for treatment.
Over the weekend, Search and Rescue had evacuated a bicyclist with a leg injury on the Parallel Trail on Teton Pass.
