The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office has received calls regarding a scammer spoofing their phone number as the sheriff’s office (307-367-4378) and then pressuring the victim for information about recent Amazon purchases. The office stresses that this is a scam and they would never press for information like this over the phone, but would ask to meet with you in person if there was a legitimate concern. Once again, they advise, if it sounds suspicious, always hang up and call their office to verify its legitimacy.
