In anticipation of meeting its $30,000 HeliYes fundraising goal, TCSAR Foundation has announced an educational shorthaul
demonstration to thank the community and raise awareness about helicopter rescue operations in the community.
The shorthaul demonstration will take place on Snow King Mountain as well as in and around
the ballpark at the base of Snow King on Thursday, May 16 th between 5:00 – 6:00pm. TCSAR
volunteers and Jenny Lake Rangers will participate in the demonstration. All community members are invited to come out and see how the shorthaul program works and how SAR volunteers operate in and around the helicopter. Spectator viewing will be available in the downstairs patio at StillWest Brewery (located directly across the street). TCSAR volunteers wearing yellow jackets will be on hand to ensure spectators stay clear of the area where the demonstration will take place and to answer questions.
Please note that the ball field at the base of Snow King will be closed prior to and during this demonstration. Hikers and
skiers will also be asked to stay off certain portions of Snow King during this time frame.
The HeliYes fundraising campaign raises funds to pay for one additional month of helicopter
service as well as an extensive training program for TCSAR volunteers and its partners. A private party and viewing for HeliYes donors will occur simultaneously on the upstairs deck at StillWest Brewery. You can find more information about the campaign or make a donation at www.tetoncountysar.org/heli .
