The Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club has announced it has decided to cancel the annual Ski & Gear Swap scheduled for October 17th. The Ski Swap has served as a community service event and a fundraiser for the Ski Club for many decades and annually attracts over 5500 attendees during the one-day sale. The Ski Swap offers an opportunity for community members to both buy and sell new and used gear. It has become popular with a wide spectrum of shoppers due to the variety of winter-sports gear available at affordable prices, including entry- to professional-level equipment. The cancelation of the 2020 Ski Swap is another blow to the club following the cancellations of their two major spring fundraising events: the newly redesigned Jackson Hole Downhill and the Rendezvous River Sports Karen Oatey Pole Pedal Paddle, both because of COVID-19. The Ski Club says it is confident that by next March and April, both of those events will be able to again take place.
