It is with regret that Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) reports a skier was fatally injured at the ski area earlier today.
At approximately 11:02 am JHMR Ski Patrol received a call reporting an accident on Sundance Run below Croaky Point. A female skier was found unresponsive on the skier’s left side of the trail within a group of trees. Second to the reporting party Jackson Hole Ski Patrol arrived on the scene and performed life support efforts. The victim was transported to the St. John’s Clinic in Teton Village at approximately 11:24 am and was pronounced dead at the clinic at 11:38 am.
“We are saddened to report this second fatality at the resort this season, and the staff at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort join me in expressing our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victim,” commented Jerry Blann, President of JHMR.
