The 26th annual ceremonial start of the Pedigree® Stage Stop Sled Dog Race and annual celebration in downtown Jackson has been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Race organizers announced yesterday that the race itself will run with the primary emphasis on safely while executing the actual competition. The pre-race veterinary exams and drivers meeting will take place on January 29th in Jackson. The race will proceed January 30th with Stage One in Alpine, Stage Two in Pinedale January 31st, Stage Three February 1st in Kemmerer, Stage Four taking place in the Big Piney/Marbleton area February 2nd, Stage Five will be in Lander February 3rd, after a travel day, the race moves to Driggs, Idaho on February 5th and concludes with Stage Seven February 6th in Teton County Wyoming. The field is currently filled with 25 teams from across North America, including defending two-time Champion, Anny Malo from Quebec, Ontario.
