26 teams are set to compete in this year’s International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race which begins January 25thfrom the town square in Jackson. In preparation for the event, organizers are still recruiting volunteers to help patrol the intersections the route through town will cross during the event. Between 6:30 and 8:00 pm, the race route will proceed fromBroadway and Cache to Redmond, south to West Cache Creek, and from there to the Snow King Events Center. Organizers are in need of 6 more volunteers from 5:30 pm until approximately 8:00 pm to do traffic safety at the street crossings. Volunteers will be provided dinner from the caterer on the square. The race typically attracts international competitors, some of whom are familiar faces at the famed Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska.
